downpour caused play to be abandoned at Reid Avenue with Wesley College leading 2-0 yesterday.

By virtue of being the holders of the trophy, Wesley College were able to retain the Dudley De Silva Trophy for another year.
Last year the game was not played and in 2011 Wesley were the victors.
In the 16 minutes that play was possible, Wesley College had the territorial advantage. Their forwards dominated the game with excellent support from their second row.

In the fifth minute of play, Wesley were awarded a penalty corner and centre forward Aaqil Azmi made no mistake. In the very next minute, right half Shakel Juranpathy worked his way through the Royal defenders for right extreme M. Ricky to put the finishing touches and make it two-nil for the Doubles Blues.

The game was refereed by Ajith Jayasena and W. Dissanayake. -BM
