Sugu Leads Sri Lanka to victory in Golf against India
View(s):The Sri Lanka Golf team of California beat the Indian team comfortably at the Annual Golf challenge, held on Sunday November 17th at the Knollwood Country Club, Granada Hills, California.
The tournament was conducted in the same format as the Ryder cup, 26 golfers in each team. The Sri Lankan team scored 7.5 points beating the Indian team with 5.5 points.
Sugu when accepting the award said “I am proud of my team, we were not the favorites going in, the Indians had a very strong team, but I had full confidence with my team, each golfer was focused and committed to play their best game and we did it as a team”. “We play the Mexican team next in March 2014, again I feel good about the Sri Lankan’s chances”.
