Ranga bags November round
Royal Colombo Golf Club’s N. Ranga bagged the November round of the Pin Fernando Grand Prix which was played from November 26 to 29 at the Ridgeways in Colombo. Ranga, who had the advantage of home conditions, finished with 287, two shots under par fellow team mates Sisira Kumara and N. Amarapathma who finished at joint second with 289 apiece.
Ranga scored 75, 67, 72 and 73 to take the lead on the second day of the competition which consisted of four rounds. Kumara led the list after the first round followed by Amarapathma as Ranga stayed behind at joint fourth after M. Arumugam who finished at fourth after all four rounds with 292. Chanaka Perera finished one shot ahead at fifth with 293 as Pradeep Kumara and B.A. Rohana finished joint at sixth with 298 apiece, giving RCGC the top seven places. Victoria’s Vijitha Bandara shared the eighth place with RCGC’s Chalitha Pushpika with 303 each. Danusha Perera claimed the tenth spot giving RCGC nine out of the top ten positions.
