‘Upanetha’ Image Arts Festival at the National Art Gallery
View(s):‘Upanetha’ an Arts festival and photo exhibition will be held at the National Art Gallery, on Ananda Kumaraswami Mw., Colombo 07, from December 6-8, 2013. The exhibition is organised by the final year students of the Image Arts Unit of the University Of Kelaniya.
Veteran film director D.B Nihalsinghe will be the chief guest at the event. Fine art photos unveiling the beauty and versatile dimensions of the human body photographed by Savithri Vithanage and conceptual female portrait photos photographed by Dilushi Rathnayake will be exhibited at the event. Two documentary films produced and directed by Asiri Hapugoda titled ‘Thotagamuwe Rajamaha Wiharaya’ and Shayamali Liyanarachchi’s ‘The struggle against Colombo North Medical Faculty’ will be screened at the event.
Short films done by Sameera Hettiarachchi and Upeksha Gurusinghe will also be part of the event’s highlights.
All visual art lovers and enthusiasts are invited to attend the exhibition.
