Janashakthi wins silver award at SLITAD People Development Awards
View(s):Janashakthi Insurance plc won the Silver Award at the Sri Lanka Institute of Training And Development (SLITAD) People Development Awards, showcasing the companies commitment towards its employees.
The award ceremony, held on November 22 at Waters Edge near Colombo, saw many top corporates coming together to celebrate their contribution to people development.

As such, it is an honour to be acknowledged at this award ceremony, given the prestige associated with the ceremony,” noted Gamini Peiris – General Manager (Human Resources and Administration) in a media release issued by the company.
The SLITAD People Development Award follows a strict assessment process spanning 10 areas. Companies applying for the awards must show a clear and forward thinking business strategy, be proficient in people management strategy, have definite leadership and management policies in place, demonstrate management effectiveness, have an adequate recognition and reward system in place for its employees, while helping them to feel involved and empowered.
A team of impartial assessors reviewed each applicant stringently, to ensure that they fulfilled the necessary requirements.
