S.B. Senanayake SC reach finals

Senanayake School of Cricket waltzed into the final of the inaugural Under 13 cricket tournament, conducted for the Palawatta Challenge Trophy, when they defeated Mahinda Rajapakse CA by seven wickets, in the second semifinal played at the Ananda Sastralaya ground in Kotte recently.
Winning the toss, S.B. Senanayake SC gave Mahinda Rajapakse first lease of the wicket and wrapped them up for 80 runs in 28 overs.
Sahan Samyaka (4 for 20) and Hasantha Viswajith (4 for 6) did the major damage.
S.B. Senanayake in reply were anchored by A.C. Dayanka, who top scored with 30 runs to coast to 82 for three wickets and booked their place in the final where they will take on CCC SC ‘A’.
The tournament is being conducted by the Palawatta Cricket Academy.
The date and venue of the final will be announced at a later date.
