The Government will present a Bill to Parliament on Tuesday, to abolish the Parliament Scholarship Board (PSB) Act.
The Board was set up in 2002, to fund Sri Lankans engaged in higher studies and research, but several MPs have complained to Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa that the place has become a white elephant, where, its employees just draw salaries and remunerations.
Funds for the PSB, comprising three members and a secretary, are voted in under the Budget each year.
