For second year running, nature lovers click their best
View(s):The exhibition of the winning and commended entries of the Chaaya Wild – Yala and Etisalat Sri Lanka “Nature Photographer of the Year 2012” is now on at the Harold Peiris Gallery at the Lionel Wendt. It concludes on Monday.
Chaaya WildYala, in collaboration with Etisalat Sri Lanka hosted the annual ‘Chaaya Wild – Etisalat Nature Photographer 2012’exhibition and competition for the second consecutive time this year, the contest attracting over 800 entries.
While the main aim of the competition was to recognise outstanding nature photography, it also aimed to increase awareness on nature conservation by providing a platform for nature photographers all over the island to showcase their skills.
The competition was conducted under two categories, namely adults and juniors.
