Joes thump DSS

St. Joseph’s recorded a thumping 55-14 win against D.S. Senanayake in their Under-20 Schools League Division I A rugby match played at Longdon Place yesterday. The Josephians who led at half time by 24-14 scored from nine tries and five conversions. Fly half Rehan Thyagaraja scored four tries for the winners while props Goshane Jackson and Yohan Kayser, centre Kasun Sameera, No.8 Jason Melder and Charith Peiris scored a try each. Conversions were made by centre Dinesh de Silva and Thyagaraja. D.S. Senanayake’s both tries came in the first half and they were scored by No.8 Krishan Arnold and centre Gayan Dilshan while fly half Praneeth Tharindu converted both.
