ACBT is the pioneer in Australian university education in Sri Lanka. Navitas Ltd, a listed company in the Australian Stock Exchange, is the driving force behind ACBT in Sri Lanka. Navitas Ltd is an education company consisting of 30 colleges around the world making it one of the largest educational organisations in the world.

ACBT, through Edith Cowan University offers university foundation programmes, degree programmes and postgraduate programmes, right here in Sri Lanka. ACBT offers professionally focused degree programmes which provides an opportunity for Sri Lankan students to earn an Australian degree in Sri Lanka at a very affordable price. The diverse nature of the programme gives the student the opportunity to transfer to Edith Cowan University or many Australian, American, Canadian and British universities during any stage of the programme with advance standing.

Over 1200 students are presently studying at ACBT. This is a true testament to ACBT’s success. A majority of these students will travel to Australia, UK and USA to complete their studies which clearly show the acceptance of ACBT programmes by these countries. This feat has not been matched by many education institutions in Sri Lanka. ACBT is an institution that is very well established and has a great success rate of making successful graduates. ACBT has achieved this by adhering to very high quality assurance standards set by Navitas Ltd and its parent University for the past 14 years.

The ACBT student has a clear advantage over his or her peers at every turn when he or she applies to a foreign university, be it, when applying for their student visa or even when they sit for English test like IELTS. It is imperative for students and parents to investigate the accreditation of any educational institution before embarking on any programme for higher studies, especially if the student is preparing to study overseas. In this regard, ACBT is clearly unique.

The FOUNDATION PROGRAMME has been specifically designed to fast track a student from O/L’s to University in a matter of eight calendar months of studying. This course has been designed to focus on delivering knowledge into a specific area of studies, such as, science, engineering, business and IT.
After O/L’s and the foundation programme, students are eligible for entry into their choice of twenty seven Universities in Australia to courses such as:- MBBS, Civil and Structural Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Information Technology.

ACBT has campuses in Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka.  All ACBT campuses offer a variety of other preparatory courses, enabling students to come upto par so they can successfully complete their main programme. Whether it be in business, IT or Science.

Most popular courses are:-
GENERAL ENGLISH - covers basic English language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. This course is ideal for students who require the use of English language in their day-to-day personal and professional communications.

SPOKEN ENGLISH - This course is specifically designed to enhance the “speaking skills” of students who are required to converse in English. BUSINESS ENGLISH - Business language courses are targeted at working adults, whose day-to-day job functions are carried out in the English Language. The emphasis is on English writing, speaking, making presentations, effective writing skills and use of the internet.

IELTS TRAINING - The ACBT IELTS Centre is one of two authorised test centres in Sri Lanka. The other being The British Council, which is part of the managing consortium of IELTS programmes in the world. This makes ACBT the only other organisation that conducts English learning programmes tailoring IELTS examinations (in house). Due to this training the test centre enjoys a very high success rate for its students.

ACBT is unique as it has three intakes a year - March, July and October. This enables a student to choose from a fast track or standard class option to complete their course. The fast track programme consists of a maximum of four units per semester. Classes have been prepared to optimize the education experience, by limiting the student numbers in any one class.

Students are exposed to the most advanced education environment with state of the art advanced computer labs, the internet, Microsoft Office applications and multimedia applications, specialist software as required by their individual courses/modules, along with online access to assist with their studies.

The Library is free of charge to all ACBT registered students. It provides support services and information for related studies, with up to date collections of select text books and printed media.
