Ikebana to flower again in June

Ikebana International Sri Lanka chapter will hold its second exhibition on June 9 and 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, 78 Galle Road, Colombo 3.

The Sri Lanka's chapter which has a growing membership focuses mainly on promoting the art of Ikebana in the country. Part proceeds from this exhibition will go to aid children suffering from cancer.

There will be 70 to 80 arrangements on display and the Chief Guest and patron will be the Ambassador to Japan in Sri Lanka Nobuhito Hobo. There will be a demonstration in Sogetsu Ikebana by Christopher Lim on June 9 at 5.p.m.
