S. Thomas’ drub Thurstan

Action from the S. Thomas’ vs Thurstan game

S. Thomas’ drubbed the hapless Thurstan side by 45 points to 10 in their Singer Division 1B rugby encounter played at Mt Lavinia yesterday. S. Thomas’ led 17-3 at the breather.

Wing three quarter Danoj de Silva scored the first two tries for the Thomians to give then an early lead with prop forward Manisha Kurukulasuriya going over for the third with fly half Devin Jayasinghe converting one.

Thurstan in this half was able to reduce the lead only through a penalty. In the second half the Thomians succeeded to post four tries with fly half Devin going over for two and one each coming from center Kingsley Moses and prop Deshan de Silva ending the Thomians try scoring spree with Devin making three conversions to give the sea side an easy victory.-MSA
