Udaya and Tharaki steal the limelight at Gunaratne Memorial TT

Udaya Ranasinghe and Umaya Tharaki stole the limelight at the Chrys Gunarathna Memorial Open All-Island Table Tennis Championship which was conducted at the S. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium in Mt. Lavinia.

Ranasinghe of Vidyartha College Kandy won the Under-18 and 15 titles and was also adjudged most outstanding men’s player while Tharaki of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda clinched the Under-18. She also emerged runners-up in the Women’s Open Singles and was adjudged the most outstanding women’s player of the tournament.
