S. Thomas’ made to fight for their win

S. Thomas’ was made to fight for their win against a gallant Mahanama side which they won by 32 points to 19 in their Singer Under 20 Division 1B rugby encounter played at Mt. Lavinia yesterday.
In fact the Thomians were given a fright though Mahanama who held on to a slender one point lead (14-13) at the breather.

The Thomians made up their points through two goals three tries and a penalty to the two goals and a try by Mahanama.

Mahanama surprised the beach side schoolboys when they drew first blood from a try by hooker Asitha Vimukthi with full back Janith Rambukkanage putting over the conversion.
