AMBA Research wins CIMA quiz

AMBA Research Team won the Gold Medal at the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Mind Challenge 2012 competition held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel last week. The CIMA Sri Lanka branch has conducted 14 such talent quizzes earlier. The Silver Medalist at this contest was the Achievers A Team.

The contest was in three sessions and the best eight teams were chosen out of a larger group of teams. Out of these teams, the best two teams – AMBA Research and Achievers A were chosen. The highest scoring team in answering the questions was adjudged the winner of the quiz contest.Dirk Pereira, Chairman, CIMA Council speaking at the conclusion of the event said that CIMA has been successfully conducting these talent quizzes.

He said that the business leadership has to work in an environment of heavy pressures and also required to be transparent and they have to work sometimes as teams and sometimes as individuals. Shanaka Amarasinghe, was the Quiz Master.
