Phoenix Ogilvy wins ‘Best of Asia’ Gold at Goafest

Gains 9th position among 60 agencies in South Asia

Phoenix Ogilvy, adding to its string of International and Regional awards, bagged Gold and Silver at the 2012 edition of Indian Advertising industry’s Annual Conclave Goafest last week. In a media release, Phoenix said it is the only Sri Lankan advertising agency to win Gold at Goafest, 2012. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal competed for the Best of Asia Awards at the Goafest. This year more than 4215 entries were received.

Winning a Best of Asia Gold and Silver elevated Phoenix Ogilvy to the 9th position among 60 agencies in South Asia in terms of the official metal tally at the Goafest, it said. Phoenix Ogilvy won Gold for the ‘Best Outdoor Poster’ which was also adjudged the Best of South East Asia entry. Phoenix Ogilvy was awarded Silver for the same entry in the ‘Out of Home Household Products and Services’ category. This outdoor poster was developed for Titus Knives marketed by Titus Stores.

Commenting on its’ latest success at Goafest Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Ogilvy Sudesh Sundaramoorthy said, “This is indeed a great achievement that has placed Phoenix Ogilvy and more importantly Sri Lanka on the creative map of the advertising world. It augers well that the adverting industry in Sri Lanka that Phoenix Ogilvy is making its presence felt at International and Regional Advertising events in the last six years or so.”
