Aponsu back with ‘Sako’

Veteran actor and popular playwright Jayasekara Aponsu’s latest theatrical production ‘Sako’ was premiered at Matara Co-op theater recently.

Narrated on the theme of how corrupt the current society compared to the past, the play brings many comic twists and turns. The play revolves around the god Sakra who summons a group of people who sing a song sung about him at a party. In a hilarious manner the play shows how the modern day people ignores the moral values and virtues and concerns only about gratifying the physical needs.

Thusitha Weerasinghe, Jayasekara Aponsu, Nandula Wijeweera, Roma Rosi, Jayakodi, Nadeeka Hettiyarachchi, Milka Saduni, Gamini Costa, Gamini Kulasekara, Hasitha Sri Gunawardane, Pubudu Halpita, Sumith Chandravamsa, Iresha Namali Weththasinghe, Thumira Aponsu and Jayantha Induruwa are in the cast of the drama and the music is directed by Jagath wickramasinghe.
