Ana Punchihewa new golf chief

One time Sri Lanka Cricket Board President, Anna Punchihewa has been voted in as the new head of the Golf Union at its Annual General Meeting held on March 30.

Former Captain of RCGC Lal Dias was appointed Vice President, while Dilhan Abhayarethne and Glenn Mathew were elected as Hony. Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Top cricketers now turned golfers Ken De Alwis, Ranil Peiris, Seniors Vernon Tissera, the new RCGC Captain Priath Fernando, Michael Magala, Major General Sriyantha Rajapakse, Nihal Keppetipola and the only Lady Council Member Niloo Jayatilleka complete the team. The Sunday Times will feature an exclusive interview with Mr. Punchihewa next week.
