Mohammed Mazoomi Mohammed Musharaf of St.Anthony’s college, Katugastota Kandy, who participated in the English day oratorical impromptu competitions in 2011 and has been successful in wining the competitions he took part in.
He was placed 2nd in the district level oratorical impromptu competitions and was placed 1st in the central province competition under the same category. He continued to participate in the national level competitions where he competed with students of his capacity, in the grade 13 category, and has managed to successfully capture the 3rd place.
St.Anthony’s college has similarly produced many brilliant and outstanding individuals during 2011 in almost every field, viz, drama, creative writing and debating.
In the Shakespeare drama competition organised by the Colombo Y.M.C.A, Mr. Sanjaya Chandrasekaran was adjudged the best outstation actor where he played the cast of “Ingo” in “Othello”.
Apart from this Mr. Shahitha Karapitiya is an outstanding debater and has displays vital talents in creative writing.
St.Anthony’s college is blessed with many students with outstanding talents. It is sailing amidst strong currents with the blessings of its Patron St.Anthony, with Rev.Fr.Titus Rodrigo O.S.B as its principal. Its supportive staff members are hardworking, dedicated and are vigilant in enriching the students under their charge. |
