AWD Group post 4-2 win over Hayleys

A.W .D Group posted a 4-2 win over Hayleys Group in their MHA ‘C’ division league hockey fixture at the Malay ground recently. At half time, the winners led by two goals to nil.

Goals for A.W.D. Group was off the stick of centre forward M. Jazouly in the 22nd and 48th minutes, left inside A. Ahamed in the 25th minute and centre forward T.M. Ranasinghe in the 52nd minute. While the scorers for Hayleys Group were right inside, D. Sellaperuma in the 40th minute and left half K. Gunasekera in the 50th minute. The game was controlled by Ajith Jayasekera and H.L. Mithrapala while T.D.K.S. Perera was the third official.

Singer stitch Unilevers 2-0
Singer Sri Lanka stitched Unilevers by two goals to nil in their Mercantile ‘B’ Division league hockey fixture at the Malay ground recently. At the short whistle the winners held a one nil lead.
In the 14th minute of play, right extreme Lasantha Perera put Singer one up and after the turn around, centre half N. Ranaweera got his act together to give his team a 2-0 win.
The game was controlled by Ajith Jayasena and M. Naushad, while T.D.K.S. Perera was third umpire.
