Achievements

Talented Senara N. Yamasinghe, a student of Vidura College, Colombo, has clinched the
‘Best Perfomer’ Award for chess for three consecutive years – 2009, 2010 and 2011 – in the Under 10 category.

Senara is also a good artist and was chosen as the first in the 2010 competition organized by the International Mona Lisa Foundation, Sri Lanka branch. She is due to launch a song revering her parents shortly.

Praboda de Silva became the ‘Best Junior Handler’ at the recently held Ceylon Kennel Club show.
Praboda, a 7 year old handler gathered the most prizes for handling at the 105th Ceylon Kennel Club show.

Confidently handling the Pug and Smooth Fox Terrier Praboda bagged the ‘Best Junior Handler’ title and was also placed 4th in the Novice Exhibitors category. He was also the youngest handler competing in the ring at the show.

Fathima Nusra Nawroos of Al-Hikma College, Colombo 12 obtained 167 marks at the Grade 5 Scholarship examination in the Tamil medium.
