Seylan Bank in 2-1 win over SLT

Seylan Bank registered a 2-1 win over Sri Lanka Telecom in their Mercantile ‘B’ division football match at the City League ground recently. At half time the bankers led 2-0. In the 14th minute of play, centre forward J. Irshad opened the score for Seylan Bank and one minute later mid field M. Ikram made it 2-0.
After the turnaround, Sri Lanka Telecom scored their solitary goal through H.L.S. Priyashantha in the 32nd minute. The game was refereed by M.K. Sandaruwan, while the match co-ordinator was K.A.G. Gunasena and Anton Atapattu was match commissioner.

Commercial Bank post 3-1 win
Commercial Bank posted a 4-1 win over Courtaulds in their Mercantile ‘B’ division football fixture at the City League ground recently. At the short whistle Commercial Bank held a 3-1 lead.

In the 5th minute, Courtalds took the lead when centre forward C. Sampath got his boot onto the ball. However, in the 23rd minute, right extreme M.H. Hashimdeen equalized for the bank. In the 27th and 28th minutes, mid field R.L. Fernando sealed victory with two goals to seal victory for Commercial Bank.
The game was refereed by K.L.S. Chathuranga, while Piyal Perera was co-ordinator and Anton Atapatttu watch commissioner.
