Sri Lankan dairy equipment company takes India by storm

A Sri Lankan dairy equipment company took India by surprise when it won the best exhibitor's award at the 40th All India Dairy Expo 2012 concluded in New Delhi last week, officials of the company said.
ISF Industries Pvt Ltd based in Chennai, a subsidiary of ISF Group of Sri Lanka specialising in the production of milk cooling tanks, was selected as the best exhibitor among 70 top class dairy firms of India and foreign countries who displayed their products in approximately 140 stalls.

The Indian Dairy Association (North Zone) had organized XL-Dairy Industry Conference in New Delhi from 2nd to 5th February, 2012 to focus on the challenges facing Indian dairy sector. The Conference was inaugurated at Siri Fort Auditorium and followed with a Technical Session and Exhibition at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

Around 1800 delegates participated in the XL-DIC where 100 delegates were from abroad including its neighbouring countries, European Union and USA, the organising committee said It was a memorable day for ISF industries and its Chairman /Managing Director N.Sivakumaran as well as his staff and well-wishers who gathered at the awards ceremony. S,M. Tripathi Regional Manger of ISF received the award for the best exhibitor for his company's stall, the biggest at the exhibition, company officials said.

Up to now ISF investments in Sri Lanka are around Rs 50 million while the company has invested around Rs 30 million in India. Annual exports from Sri Lanka are around US$2 million, they revealed.
