Last year’s Inter Schools President Trophy Knock Out Champions Trinity College Kandy will be fielding a very strong outfit for this years Rugby season. They will be led by crack centre and powerful Kanil Seneviratne who will have the services of some outstanding senior player’s n their rank. Sanjay Somasiri, Randhika Alwis, Thisira Karunatilake and Anuruddha Karunatilake are a few of them.
Trinity will kick off their season with Science College game at their home den on April 21. They will travel down to Colombo only on two occasions, once for the Bradby and the other one for Isiapathana encounter.

Once again Neil Footy will be their Technical Advisor. Former Sri Lankan Sevens specialist, Kandy SC and Navy SC player Nilfer Ibrahim will once more will be their Head Coach. Murad Ramzeen who was the last year’s skipper and Sri Lanka Youth Captain will be with the young lads looking after the motivational side.
Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage will organize a rugby carnival 2012 on February 25 at the Pallekelle Rugby Stadium with the kick off schedule at 9 am. On this day kids from the age group of 10 will take part. This year’s Trinity Under-20 outfit will take on the Old Boys in their traditional game which will be kicked off at 4.30 pm. With support of Rugby Scrummage, Principal Brig Udaya Ariyaratne supporting to the fullest, “Lions” are all out to be a supreme outfit this year.
