Englishmen here on March 11 for two-Test series

The English cricketers who will be seeking to regain their lost image as the number one Test playing nation in the world arrive in Sri Lanka for their two Test series on March 11. When the Englishmen arrive in Sri Lanka, the Lankan team will be in Bangladesh during the first half taking part in the Asia Cup tournament.

Initially the Englishmen will play two three day games. The first will be against the SLC Board President from March 15 to 17 at the R. Premadasa Stadium and then take on the SLC Development XL from March 20 to 22 at the SSC Grounds.

The first Test between the two teams will be played at the Galle Cricket Stadium from 26 to 30 March and the second and final Test will be worked off at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium from April 3 to 7.
Sri Lanka won their last home Test at Galle against India in July 2010 where Sri Lankas spin ace Muttiah Muralitharan announced his retirement from Test cricket after grabbing his 800th Test wicket.
