Magical romance by the waters of Mahaweli

This Valentine’s Day, the Mahaweli Reach, Kandy is inviting couples to rekindle their love. “Indulge in an intimate candle lit rendezvous with your loved one at The River Terrace, a truly unique location just by the waters of the Mahaweli.

Serenaded with soft music, a mild breeze rustling the leaves of the trees, enjoy the seven course dinner served with a complimentary glass of wine and the opportunity to dance on the water. This magical experience is only available for a dozen couples and is merely Rs. 5000/- +++ per couple,” a release from the hotel says.

A romantic getaway for two, an overnight stay filled with exotic sunsets over the quietly rippling waters, a champagne breakfast on board as you take a river cruise, a candle lit dinner by the water or a relaxing dip in the Jacuzzi are all available with special rates for the river view suites.

There’s also delectable treats from their “Amour” range of cakes, cup cakes and chocolates or an alluring floral arrangement to surprise your partner with. For further information, please call 081 4471883 /5

A Tealicious time with your loved one

From February 3 to the 14th , it’s a subtle flavour of romance created at the Dilmah t Bar at the Colombo Hilton. For connoisseurs of tea, there’s a selection of t shakes and mocktails to be shared with someone special : the Dilmah t Series Rose with French Vanilla tea.

It’s a range to savour, like a romantic moment: Beautiful Memories made with a combination of Rose with French Vanilla Tea, passion fruit cordial and Gin; a t’ shake with ice cream and rose with French Vanilla tea; and a refreshing rose with French Vanilla Iced Tea. The range was created by Dilmah Tea Sommelier at the Hilton Janaka Bandara and Chamil Pathirana.

And if you pick up a tea caddy while there, there’s a Chocolate heart from Fine Things, absolutely free.
