Commercial Bank CSR Trust sets up IT lab for Hambantota School

The CSR Trust of Commercial Bank of Ceylon has set up a fully-equipped computer laboratory at the Ranminitenna Primary School in Tissamaharamaya, Hambantota. With this donation, the Ranminitenna Primary School with 126 students becomes the 32nd school in Sri Lanka to receive a computer laboratory from the CSR Trust of Commercial Bank.

The bank said in a statement it contributes up to one per cent of its post-tax profits each year, to the Trust. During the last three months of 2011 alone, Commercial Bank set up 13 computer laboratories, many of them in rural schools, benefiting up to 7,000 students.
