What it TOPCIMA
Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting is a case study. This is the final exam of the CIMA qualification. This comprises of one paper. The students are required to advice an organisation on future strategy. A student is required to write a professional report for 100 marks as the management accountant of an organisation. This requires a higher skill than a conventional exam since the student has to operate in an advisory role.

The knowledge and application of English knowledge is very important to pass the TOPCIMA exam. The lecturer should posses a very high knowledge of professional English to guide the students in enhancing higher level of competence.

Mr. Gajendra conducts 10 mock exams under real conditions and marks the papers of each individual student. This enables the student to identify any problems and to obtain the guidance of Mr.Gajendra on an Individual basis. This is a very effective method and the main reason for exam success.

The importance of Strategic level Common Case study for TOPCIMA
In the new Syllabus all the 3 subjects at Strategic Level are integrated through a common Case Study. A common scenario will be provided for the assessment. This is called the Pre – Seen material. This will be available well in advance before the exam. The Pre-seen material is common to all the 3 subjects ( ES , PS , FS). The questions will be developed through this material.

This provides the basis for TOPCIMA examination. The TOPCIMA is an extension of the Common case study. The TOPCIMA exam requires a student to simulate an actual business environment.
The Enterprise Strategy subject at strategic level provides the direct link to the TOPCIMA exam. The experience of Mr. Gajendra in teaching enterprise starategy subject directly contributes towards the success of the students in TOPCIMA examination.

What’s the competence that can be used from the Managerial Level?
Enterprise Operation (EO)
This subject will directly provide the basic knowledge required to analyse the Common case study. It will help the student to understand the key functions of a given organisation and the issues effectively to ensure exam success.

Enterprise Management (EM)
This subject will provide the basic competence required to understand the strategy of the organisation. IT provides the integrated knowledge required to manage a particular organisation. The students are expected to enhance the same competence developed through this subject to the New Strategic Level
What’s the role of the Enterprise Management Pillar in the New Syllabus?

This is the driving force for the management of an organisation. This pillar provides the basis for organisational development and strategy formulation. This pillar will directly contribute to the exam success in the TOPCIMA.

A sound knowledge in the Enterprise Management pillar will provide a clear benefit for the students in the New Strategic Level and the TOPCIMA examination
