Strategic alliance between Brand Finance Lanka and Sunil Fernando Associates

Sunil Fernando Associates and Brand Finance Lanka (BFL) recently signed an agreement to jointly provide an integrated valuation service to clients for the first time in Sri Lanka. BFL said in a press release, that earlier clients conducted either tangible or intangible asset valuations. By combining their individual expertise, the two firms are now able to provide a total integrated valuation, thereby providing a more holistic value of a business.

Sunil Fernando, Managing Director of Sunil Fernando Associates, is one of the foremost tangible asset valuers in the country and has over 45 years of service in Sri Lanka and overseas. Commenting on the alliance, Mr. Fernando said, "in our work of business we get to grips with all the tangible assets. However, that is only one part of the total picture. We know that intangibles make up a significant part of a business, and this is Brand Finance's area of expertise. I am pleased that we will be able to offer our integrated services through this alliance, especially with the introduction of IFRS in Sri Lanka this year."

Ruchi Gunewardene, Managing Director of Brand Finance Lanka said "our alliance will provide a much more holistic offering, which will enable companies to prioritise their future investments and leverage their total asset base."

Sunil Fernando Associates is Sri Lanka's leading commercial, residential and industrial real estate advisor. The practice carries out valuations of various assets in the form of land, buildings, plant and machinery, including vessels for the purpose of IPO, mortgage, purchase and sale, insurance and for the assessment of fair value for accounting purposes.

Brand Finance is an independent global business focused on advising strongly branded organisations on how to maximise value through effective management of their brands and intangible assets.
