Yet Another Social Service Project by SLIA

The Members of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects were invited by the National Physical Planning Department of the Ministry of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities to conduct an Architectural Advisory Project at the Mattegoda Housing Scheme located in the suburb of Mattegoda in the South of Colombo.

The Architects offered a free advisory service to the householders of the housing scheme on not only solving technical problems but also on working out colour schemes when colour washing their houses. The community benefited from the interaction while the professionals had the satisfaction of having reminded themselves of the community obligations of the profession.

Navaratne, Anton Gajasinghe, Piyal Panapitiya, Jayatissa Herath, Champa Amarasinghe, Prasad Jayasekera, Priyani Athuraliya and Janaka Dharmasena.
