Greetings that help to heal

The Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa always wanted to make a change in the society. While they have been engrossed in many community service projects for the last fifteen years “Hand in hand” is a special project. This project was recently named as “The most outstanding community service project” for the Rotaract Year 2010/2011.

‘Hand In Hand’ was set up to help the patients at the cancer hospital. The entire project is carried out with the main objective of providing medical equipment and other required necessities to the Children’s Ward at the National Cancer Institute, Maharagama.

To raise funds the foundation had printed beautiful greetings cards during the festive season.

The grandiose feature of these cards is that they are embellished with drawings of children who are being treated in the hospital. After giving them an opportunity to take part in a competition the best and the most colouful of their drawings were selected.

It is up to you and me to help the Children at the Cancer Hospital to smile and to do that during this festive season we could help by sending cards to our loved ones.

By sending a Hand- In- Hand greeting card the child we can raise funds to help children at the hospital. Help the children at the Cancer hospital to smile, help them to see the sunshine, help them to live.
