Stafford Int. in 7 wickets win over British School

An unbeaten half century by Mithila Siriwardena and a good double by all-rounder Rivin Karunathilaka helped Stafford International School to register a convincing 7-wicket win over British School, Colombo in their Under-17 Inter-International School cricket encounter played at Mahara Prison Grounds.
Taking the first least of the wicket, British School mustered 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 30 overs with S. de Silva top scoring, 26. Karunathilaka bowled excellently to claim three scalps of British School conceding just eight runs and Dulanja Mendis took two for 19.

Stafford International chased the moderate target within 20 overs, guided by Siriwardena who hammered an unbeaten 51. Karunathilaka chipped in with 34 as Stafford International reached 127 for the loss of three wickets. British School 126 for 9 wickets (30) (S. de Silva 26, R.
