Good response to little Pradeep’s plea to become a banker

There was a good response to the call for help on behalf of little Pradeep and his family (see the Business Times story on November 13 headlined “11-year old Pradeep: First to school, then to work- dreams of being a banker” by senior journalist Quintus Perera).

There were several calls to the family as to how best Pradeep, who helps his mother to sell short eats to supplement the family income, could be supported financially or otherwise while a few Sri Lankans have already undertaken to help the child in his education. We thank everyone who responded to this moving story.
