Best Environment Friendly School of the Year – 2011

Green Forest Association organized the competition ‘Best Environment Friendly School of the Year – 2011, for the fourth consecutive year. The presentation of Awards to the winners was held on November 5, 2011, at the Maharagama Youth Centre, amidst a large gathering of distinguished guests.

Jayanthipura Kanishta Vidyalaya of Polonnaruwa was awarded the All Island First Place, with Royal College, Colombo 7, in Second Place and Katunayake Roman Catholic Vidyalaya of Negombo in Third Place. Winners received trophies, cash prizes and certificates.

Apart from these, ten All Island Awards, nine Provincial Awards and 72 District Awards were also presented. Certificates of Excellence were awarded to 200 participants.

1st Place - Jayanthipura Kanishta Vidyalaya of Polonnaruwa
2nd Place - Royal College, Colombo
3rd Place - Katunayake Roman Catholic Vidyalaya
