Ana visits alma mater

Lankan born Prof.Ana Gowribalan Vamadeva Associate Professor of Mathematics and the Faculty Ambassador for University of Cincinnati (UC) in Sri Lanka recently visited his alma mater D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya accompanied by its local representatives Priyanthi and Padmasena Dissanayake of Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd (www.scholarshipsforusa.com).

UC, introduced to Sri Lanka by SUSA in 2007 currently boast of having over 40 Lankan students and 05 faculty members with a student body count over 41,000, ranked among the top 25 public research universities nationally and among the top 200 research universities globally offering attractive financial aid to academically brilliant students. Prof Vamadeva is very keen to help as many young mathematicians as possible to reach global standards and looking forward to expand recruitment beyond the top international schools in Colombo. Mr Lal Dissanayake Deputy Principal and Mr A Wijesndara Sectional Head/Mathematics too joined Prof Vamadeva.
