Whether you are attending a wedding or dance or it’s your own ‘going away’ or ‘home coming ‘- the full length dress is all the rage at the moment. Choose from striking colours or more subdued hues, pleated or with ruffles , or embellished - the golden rule is don’t over do.

Always have one point of focus and try not to have detailing/beadwork from head to toe. If the upper part of the gown is shapely go for more fuller shapes for the skirt and for those with a slim figure a full length figure hugging dress can work wonders.

If the bodice is heavily worked keep the jewellery simple and if the dress has no embelishments then add on jewellery for that special look. A clutch and stilletoes go to complete the look.

Hair and make up

Wavy hair is the trend of the season and depending on what function you’re a guest at you can choose your hairstyle to match your dress. Curls give a softer look (wearing off curl ) which gives a modern look or straight hair for an elegant look. We have chosen a very simple look for the red silk dress using only two colours, gold and black and created a bit of mystery by using a thick line on the eye. For the blue dress smokey eyes with muted pink blusher and very nude lips.

For the magenta silk dress a sexy sultry look heavy make up has been used on the eyes and sparkle has been used on the cheeks and glossy flesh lip coat for the lips. For the white dress again make up has been kept to a minimum accentuatng the lips and down playing the eyes. Remember the golden rule - simple and elegant is the way to go.
