Good luck Pushpika!

VEET, a power brand of Reckitt Benckiser launched the I AM YOU campaign centred around Pushpika de Silva, the current Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011 at Park Street Mews on September 29 amidst a gathering of invitees from the fields of beauty, music, film and business.

"The event is an ode to the power of the common woman who inspires us every day in every sphere of life - from home makers to corporate czars. They are everywhere. The evening was special as we collectively wished Veet Miss Sri Lanka - 'good wishes' and supported her to go win the Miss World crown and fulfill the dreams of the common woman," said Reckitt's Managing Director Rahul Murgai.

Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World Pushpika de Silva was welcomed in style.

A large card was handed over to the beauty queen signed by all the invitees wishing her good luck in the world pageant. A fashion show added to the glamour of the evening.

Evening of glam and song

With Clifford Richards hosting the evening and the Gypsies leading proceedings in their own inimitable style, the Holy Family Convent Past Pupils’ Association fundraiser ' Sing-along with the Gypsies' turned out to be a merry evening. The event on October 1 at the Taj Samudra also saw a fashion show by Nadiya Iqbal.
