SLIIT RoboFest Winners

SLIIT ROBOFEST 2011, second annual robotic competition organized by Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering comes to an end with an award ceremony that sees proud winners walk away with cash prizes. This years competition was contested in both university and school categories, with an additional open category for tech enthusiasts amongst the general public to enter and show off their knowledge of robotics.

The gold winning team in the universities category was 'ME CHABOT' of the university of Uwa Wellassa, who were awarded Rs. 65,000, while in the school category G. Suraj Prasanna walked away with the gold award of Rs. 50,000. The open Category's gold award of Rs. 80,000 went to team 'Biker' from the University of Moratuwa.

Open Category Gold Winner: In the category open to the public, the talented team 'Biker' from the University Of Moratuwa walked away with the gold award, whose primary sponsor was Open Winner Metropoliton computers Ltd with the co-sponsorship of Lanka Bell.

University Bronze Winner: Team 'Neuro' of SLIIT, were awarded the bronze award in the University Category sponsored by SLIIT Alumni Association.
