St. Anthony’s Panadura slam 103

Royal Panadura Invitation Cricket Sixes

The opening day’s play in the inaugural Royal Panadura Old Boys Six-a-Side Invitation cricket tournament at the Panadura Esplanade saw St. Anthony’s Panadura having the honour of recording the highest score of the tournament.

They recorded 103 against Lyceum International Panadura in a second round game overcoming the host Royal’s score of 88 made in the morning session. In the same match Antonian batsman Damidu Eranga hit the highest individual score for the day when he blasted 55.

The invitation cricket tournament organized by the Old Boys of Royal Panadura saw 16 teams in the fray which includes two international schools - Lyceum and Leeds located in Panadura.

Mahanama Panadura 69 for 1 in 3.3 overs (Kasun Madusanka 32 n.o.) beat Tissa Central Kalutara 60 for 1 in 5 overs (Jamindu Thiranjan 34 n.o., Danuj Thiranjan 21 n.o.). Wadduwa Central 77 for 4 in 5 overs (T. Thilina 18 n.o.: V. Sampath 2 for 6) beat Royal Horana 47 for 4 in 5 overs (V. Chanchala 25). Taxila Central Horana 64 for 0 in 5 overs (M.
