Deepika and Prabath win Nat Services singles titles

Open and Veteran Table Tennis tournament organized by the Nationalized Services Table Tennis Association was held recently at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Complex in Mt. Lavinia. In the men’s doubles final, Nuwan Perera and Thilanka Seneviratne representing People’s Bank beat Prabath Indrajith and Dammika Abeysekera 3-2.

The Open Mixed Doubles final was the most attractive event of the day where Nuwan Perera and Nivarthana Udugama of People’s Bank played gave a close fight to former national champion Deepika Rodrigo and Chaminda Wijegunawardena of Lake House. Finally the People’s Bank pair was defeated 3-2.

The Open Women’s Singles final was won by Deepika Rodrigo who beat Nivarthana Udugama. The Prabath Indrajith of National Savings Bank won the Open Men’s Singles final beating Kanchana Atapattu of CECB. The People’s Bank table tennis team is coached by Jothipala Samaraweera.
