Sura Asura wins best drama award

The finals of the Inter-school drama competition organised by the YMBA (Colombo) were held at the YMBA Borella with Chairman of the People's Bank Dr. Gamini Wickramasinghe as the chief guest. Bank executive dies of snakebite

Assistant Manager- State Mortgage & Investment Bank, Kollupitiya, Inoka Chamindani, 37, died of snakebite at her residence in Thalangama this week.

A Weli Polonga had bitten her at the entrance to her house around 8 p.m. on Monday (12).
Her husband, D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya Deputy Principal, Lal Dissanayake immediately rushed his pain-stricken wife to the National hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday (14).
