Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Daydreaming

By Himma Nazar, Ilma Int. Girls’ School

My hobby isn’t reading or playing,
It’s daydreaming.
Wise men say it’s a waste of time,
But it’s not a crime.

I dream of living in space,
Without oxygen for at least two days.
I’d have an alien friend,
If you can’t believe me,
a couple of
Photographs to you
I’ll send.

I dream of living in
fairyland,
Running no errands,
Melodious songs I’ll sing,
If you can’t believe me
I’ll send,
You a pair of wings.

Remember dreams may fade,
But daydreams (if you live up to them),
Can be true as well.
Don’t you think
daydreaming,
Is a great hobby?
