Newly begun in January 2010, we follow the world renowned A.M.I method of teaching. Using the specially designed A.M.I apparatus your child will be introduced to subjects such as: Practical Life, Sensorial education, Language Skills, Mathematics, and Cultural Activities - Botany, Zoology and Geography.
This will ensure a firm foundation for your child and help him/her to adapt easily to the curriculum in the mainstream schools and stand apart from the rest. Music, Speech and Drama and Dance lessons are an enjoyable way of developing your child's inherent skills and talents. At Our Little World, we are firm believers in the words "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".
Therefore we have filled our curriculum with fun, child friendly activities such as handwork, modeling, sand play, and cooking. These activities not only enhance creativity, but also provide a platform for children to interact with each other, make friends and learn to share and help each other.
To truly learn, one must have hands on experience, and learn through the environment. Field trips, such as a visit to the zoo while learning about animals are organized to supplement the, lessons taught in the classroom.
It was rewarding to see how well our little one's recognized each animal, and it didn't hurt that it was a day full of fun! And what better way to introduce the children to the goodness of fruits and vegetables than make fruit salad and vegetable sandwiches with them? Our lesson about plants ended with each child planting his own plant and learning to care for it daily. This novel teaching method makes the learning process adventurous and enjoyable.
