Achievers; Your place to be groomed to take on the corporate World!!

Achievers Lanka business school has been a major player in the Sri Lankan CIMA arena over the past 5 years and has produced individuals of high quality to the corporate world simply because, achievers not only focuses on providing quality education to their students, but also other extra-curricular activities as well, so that they are properly groomed to enter the corporate world with an all-round personality. Being an Achiever means you receive the services of an ardent an eminent Lecture Panel as well as the services of the one of a kind 'One to One Student Development Unit' comprising of 15 Student lecturers to cater to the different academic needs of the students' requirements.

ACHIEVERS DOMINATE CIMA SPORTS DAY 2011;
In the recently concluded CIMA Sports Day 2011, organized by the CIMA Students Society, the students of Achievers amidst heavy competition from other CIMA institutes performed exceptionally well in the likes of Softball-Cricket, Basketball, Swimming, Tag-Rugby and Netball.

It was a tremendous display of true and excellent sportsmanship shown by Achievers as they went on to clinch the Basketball Championship by beating the Kelaniya University in the final and the Netball Championship by beating Wisdom Business Academy in the final, whilst emerging Runners-Up in the Tag-Rugby Championship by going down to the Colombo University in the final. Achievers also excelled in winning all the swimming events under the Mens category. Most of the Cricket teams of Achievers were doing well in the Softball-Cricket Championship, but it was unfortunately called off due to a rain interruption.

Other Extra-Curricular Activities;
1. "ACHIEVERS IDOL 2011":
The Achievers Idol 2011 was a unique competition organized by the Students' Council of Achievers over the course of 2 months and the final was held on the 9th of April at the Nawarangahala. This competition consisted of 3 sub Competitions namely, "Achievers virtuoso" (Mind Star), "Achievers, Mr/Ms Talent" and "Achievers Business Personality". These sub competitions gave the opportunity for the students to showcase their Academic and General Knowledge skills, Talents and Capabilities and their Business Presentation skills respectively.

The student who obtained the highest aggregate of points from all three sub competitions was crowned "The Achievers Idol 2011". Achievers is happy to note that the Achievers Idol 2011 was recruited to Union Assurance.

2. Rotaract Club:
The Rotaract Club of Achievers was started with the purpose of serving the community and to provide opportunities for the students to develop and enjoy themselves at the same time.

Some of the major projects organized and completed so far include, 'Collection of funds for a child's Cardiac operation', 'A Christmas party for the children of St. Clair's Orphanage', 'Quiz Masters 2010 - A quiz competition on the CIMA syllabus and general knowledge'. The Board for the year 2011/2012 plans to have a very busy year ahead. They have so far organized a 'Movie Marathon', a 'Beach Clean Up' and are in the process of organizing a motivational talk programme for the students and the Rotaract Movement.

Achievers also plans on introducing a Sri Lanka Model United Nations Club and a Leo Club.
Achievers is also currently in the process of initiating a programme called "Tea with Corporate Heads", which is a programme aimed at giving a certain amount of exposure and knowhow about the corporate world for Head Prefects by interacting with Corporate Heads of esteemed companies.

Just as these Head Prefects took the lead in their respective schools, they also take the lead by organizing and participating in activities such as Quiz Competitions, Business Presentations, Graduation Ceremonies, Sports activities, Speed Reading Programmes and Memory management programmes. The By doing so the Head Prefects play a vital role in supporting the management of Achievers by helping them to attain their vision which is "To groom each and every student of Achievers to be corporate ready".

Achievers also work very closely with companies who serve as Corporate Recruitment Partners of Achievers to provide students with employment opportunities and help them with their employment. The Achievers Corporate Recruitment Partners consist of MAS Holdings, Amba Research, DMS, Standard Chartered Bank, Airtel, KPMG Ford Rhodes, Hemas Group of Companies, CITI Bank and Ceylon Tobacco Corporation.

With all these attitudes well in place at Achievers our students are well equipped with leadership qualities, good personalities and have proven to be individuals of high calibre of performance. Due to these exceptional personalities produced, leading companies in Sri Lanka have shown their interest in our students by recruiting them to achieve their corporate goals.

Amidst everything, Achievers Lanka business school is very proud to launch the "Achievers Campus" which is a more spacious environment for the students to enjoy their studies and with a lot more concessionaries such as a Fast Track Employment Screening Centre, a separate air conditioned Student Development Room and a Roof Top Canteen with a whole new variety of courses to choose from.
