Ladies' College Department of Vocational Studies - your path to success

Career Development is the pathway that enables you to develop skills in a vocation of your choice. Identifying your interest in a vocation is the first step in the right direction.

Ladies' College Department of Vocational Studies (LCDVS) completed over 30 years of service in the field of vocational education. Courses conducted at the LCDVS are job oriented and fulfil the need to enhance skills development. Most courses are open to both sexes and the staff at the LCDVS will assist students to identify the courses suitable for the student concerned. For post A Level students LCDVS offers two professional courses.

  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka Certificate in Accounting & Business (CAB I)

Two pioneering educational establishments in the country, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) together with Ladies' College Department of Vocational Studies (LCDVS), Colombo will launch a fresh drive to promote chartered accountancy among the Advanced Level students awaiting their exam results.

Having realized the ever increasing demand for chartered accountants, LCDVS has decided to commence Chartered Accountancy classes beginning September this year under the guidance of the ICASL, which is the country's national accounting body.

  • Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries Sri Lanka

Chartered Corporate Secretaries - Foundation Level.

The Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries of Sri Lanka (ICCS) has developed a course to equip students to meet the demands of a high profile career in the corporate sector Ladies' College Department of Vocational Studies is the first tuition provider for the course.

  • City & Guilds - International English for Speakers of Other Languages shift to next isse LCDVS has also tied up with City & Guilds and will offer the Certificate in General English.
