CRICOS Provider Code: 00017B

Bond University is Australia’s highest rating university after earning the most five-star ratings of any university across an impressive ten key performance indicators in the 2012 Good Universities Guide.
The university on Queensland’s dynamic Gold Coast dominated the ‘Educational Experience’ categories, receiving the highest five-star rating across the board; including in the important areas of teaching quality, and overall satisfaction.

An independent consumer guide, the Good Universities Guide is Australia’s only definitive guide to university performance, providing ratings, rankings, comment and information about all Australian higher educational institutions.

Bond University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Stable said it the sixth consecutive year Bond has been awarded five-stars by the guide for student-staff ratio and overall graduate satisfaction. “The consistency of our performance in these key areas is testament to the dedication of our world-class teaching staff and our commitment to providing our students with a personalised educational experience that is second-to-none,” said Professor Stable.

“We have a culture of encouraging and supporting achievement and accolades such as this prove that our focus on excellence is working,” he said.

In summary, the 2012 Good Universities Guide rated Bond University five stars for:

  • Student-Staff Ratio
  • Staff Qualifications
  • All Graduates: Teaching Quality
  • All Graduates: Generic Skills
  • All Graduates: Overall Satisfaction
  • Domestic Graduates: Teaching Quality

Capping off, a fantastic week for Bond, Professor Amy Kenworthy from the University’s Faculty of Business and Assistant Professor Peter Johnson from the Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine received Australian Learning and Teaching Council Awards for Teaching Excellence, of which only 22 are awarded.

Bond is home to a wide selection of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across its Faculties of Business, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law and Health Sciences & Medicine and its Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture (housed in a national and international award winning 6 Star Green Star building) along with university preparation and English language courses.

Bond has also expanded its global network signalling a recognition by some of the world’s top universities, such as the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad, the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law (USC) and Duke University, also in the United States – amongst many others across Europe, South America and Asia –of the quality of the educational offering.

Every facet of Bond’s teaching philosophy from the School (Department) of IT being one of the first in Australia to integrate Cloud Computing and Applications into their programs, to the Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine’s holistic learning strategy, showcases the university’s commitment to providing its students industry relevant courses.

This is in addition to mentoring programs that link current students with graduates who are already working within the field they are studying or wish to enter. All of these factors allow students to be better prepared for the workplace environment.
