Light House Veterans

Light House SC Veterans SC defeated Dharga United Veterans by five goals to 4 on penalties in the final of the Inter-Club Veterans Football Tournament conducted by the Beruwala Football League.
The teams which took part in the month long tournament were: Zavia Veterans, Berbaryn Veterans Super Sun Veterans and Golden Rise Veterans.

The tournament was sponsored by M.A.M. Natchan (of London) in memory of his grandfather O.L.M. Ziyad Marikkar.The game ended in a nil all draw at full time and was later extended to the tie-breaker period where where Light House SC triumphed 5-4.The presentation of trophies was held under the patronage of M.S.M. Faslan, President of Beruwala Football League.The chief guest was Western Council Membern Piyal Niashantha de Silva
