First Class (Hons) for ICBT students from Middlesex University UK BSc (Hons) in Information Technology

ICBT students studying for Middlesex programmes in Sri Lanka have received excellent results according to recently released results from Middlesex University, UK.

Eighteen students studying at ICBT Campus for BSc (Hons) in Information Technology programme have obtained First Class Honours Degrees from Middlesex University, UK. 17 students from Colombo and 1 student from Kandy are receiving this accolade from the Middlesex University, UK. In addition 14 students from Colombo, 2 students from Kandy and 2 students from the South have passed with 2nd Upper and 12 students have passed with 2nd Lower class Degrees at the same examinations.

Twelve students studying at ICBT Campus for BSc in Business Information System & Management programme have obtained First Class Honours Degrees from Middlesex University of UK. 8 students from Colombo and 4 students from Kandy are receiving this accolade from Middlesex University, UK. In addition 17 students from Colombo and 2 students from Kandy have passed with 2nd Upper and 5 students have passed 2nd Lower class Degrees at the same examinations.

Two students studying at ICBT Campus for MSc in Business Information Systems Management programme have obtained Distinction Passes and another 2 students got Merit Passes from Middlesex University of UK.

Commenting on the results this year Ms. Pirkko Harvey, Centre Director Middlesex University said “ I am very pleased to see the growth in a number of students studying Middlesex University franchised degrees at ICBT campuses, this shows the partnership is working very well.

Looking at this year’s results; a high percentage of computing graduates, from both City and Kandy campuses, gained first class degrees; ICBT graduates have shown they are academically very capable. I would like to congratulate all graduates for working hard and also the ICBT tutors for the tuition and support they have provided these students throughout the year”.

Middlesex University will also offer a scholarship to the highest achieving graduate to come and study one of the computing MSc programmes at Middlesex University London with full exemption of the tuition fees.

Middlesex programmes in Sri Lanka are delivered at ICBT branch campuses in Colombo, Kandy and Matara.
