Ex-DIG Traffic warns cops against misleading signals to motorists

A former Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Traffic T. Perinpanayagam, has called on the police to ensure that proper traffic control signals are given by the men on duty, as some of the signals were misleading and against guidelines given to them.

Mr Perinpanaygam said that, according to the code given to traffic policemen, there were only six different types of signals which should be given to motorists.
