Two golfers off to ME

Two winners of the second annual Etisalat Golf Classic will stand a chance to tee off at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club after two days of competition at the Ridgeways in Colombo on July 29 and 30.
The well anticipated tournament will be conducted for the second year in running and will be open for members of Etisalat Elite Club and all at Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC). The tournament will be conducted in different divisions of A, B, C, Masters and Seniors for men while the ladies tournament will be conducted under the silver and bronze divisions.

Etisalat’s Elite Club was formed in 2010 following the conclusion of their inaugural golf classics. This club will be open to Etisalat customers who are members of RCGC and maintain a high minimum usage rate each month’s on their connections.

“We formed this elite club last year as a loyalty programme, basically to give benefits to our customers. We offer monthly benefits, ample tours and grand prizes to winners in all sports event sponsored by Etisalat,” said the Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat, Dumindra Ratnayake.

The winners of the tournament will however be selected in accordance with the highest mark of stableford points. Already a large number of participants have registered for the tournament which compelled the organizers to extend the tournament to two days.

In addition to the three rounds of play at the Abu Dhabi Golf Course, the winner of the men’s and women’s categories will be given with an all-inclusive trip to Abu Dhabi with business class flying and accommodation at five star hotels inclusive of airport transfers and transport. The winners will be permitted to be accompanied by a partner.
